David Schorr


Having worked as an assistant at two other Healthcare facilities, David realizes Northern Metropolitan is a special place to be. “The atmosphere, the camaraderie, the connection between staff and residents – all those things make Northern Metropolitan an incredible place to live and work,” he says. David’s job is to make sure that each and every person in the facility enjoys that atmosphere and becomes a part of the Northern Metropolitan family. Feel free to stop by and chat. Just don’t expect to find him in his office. He will be with the residents, talking about sports or setting up an activity, helping make Northern Metropolitan the amazing place it is.

Director of Nursing

As a clinical leader, Stanley motivates, inspires and works alongside the team to ensure that the residents receive the optimal level of care. He is always available to address any concerns and to ensure that each resident’s needs are met in a kind, compassionate manner.

Kristen Kennedy

Director of Social Services

Kristen has a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a Masters in Clinical Social Work, both degrees from Nyack College. She started working at Northern Metropolitan as a social services intern, then transitioned into a full-time Social Worker and finally rose to her current position as Director. The growth, knowledge and experience that she has obtained from her years at Northern Services ensures that from admission to discharge, patients and families will benefit from a successful, personalized plan of care and, when appropriate, a smooth transition back home.

Linda Schulman

Director of Rehabilitation

Linda earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Cook College, Rutgers University and a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. As Director of Rehab, she coordinates, facilitates, monitors and oversees the provision of outstanding, individualized rehab services throughout each stage of the residents’ rehab programs. Her primary focus is to assure that therapy programs are established and implemented successfully, improving the health, quality of life and well-being of both short-term patients who are anxious to return home safely, as well as long-term individuals who consider the facility their home.

Imelda Divino

Director of Recreation

As a leader and a motivator, Imelda demonstrates the enthusiasm and passion that inspires the staff, residents and their families. She looks forward to creating, designing and providing activities that improve the quality of life at Northern Metropolitan.

Gregory Filippini

Food Service Director

Gregory has a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a Master’s in Work and Labor Policy, as well as an advanced certification in Strategic Human Resource Management. He has worked at Northern Services for twenty years in skilled nursing facilities as well as in Assisted and Independent Living. He values the resident advocacy and commitment to excellent care at Northern Services. He also loves food. Creating menus, developing recipes and tackling the challenges of putting out delicious meals for the residents each day.

Alva Reid

Director of Engineering

Alva is committed to the safety of the staff and residents, making sure that everything is up to code and looking good. He loves interacting with the residents and is always looking to improve the quality of their lives.

Jorge Liz

Director of Housekeeping

As Director of Housekeeping, Jorge ensures that the residents enjoy a clean, sanitized and healthy environment. He is dedicated to working with the team to provide a pleasant and comfortable living space.

For the absolute highest quality of care, Northern Metropolitan staffs medical providers on each unit who stay in constant communication with leadership throughout the day. Team collaboration is our forte, and this commitment helps us maintain an unbeatable continuum of care.

Our team also works hard to keep therapies as consistent as possible, tracking all communications through an advanced electronic medical record system. This ensures immediate transmission of information across the entire care network.

Coronavirus Precaution

Per the New York State Department of Health revised visitation guidelines on February 22nd, 2021, facilities are required to be COVID-19 free and have no new staff or resident COVID-19 positive cases for a minimum of 14 days before renewing outside visitation. Additionally, there are specific guidelines regarding the number of visitors allowed at one time, dedicated space, infection control, and COVID-19 testing requirements for visitors.
